The Hermetics of Pontus Euxinus

Thus the sun set and the wind started its act though the corners of the impoverished fishing villages.

Environmental factors influence our everyday moods and the quality of our meditation sessions.  Factors and elements that might seem meaningless at first sight could have a huge contribution on the final result of our meditation. As a result, finding an ideal place for a meditation session is extremely important and it should represent unity and harmony in their finest forms, an environment in which doesn’t present conflictual relations between its elements and energies.
A heaven of contemplation and meditation for centuries, the Black Sea shore with its purifying saline ear welcomes all of those who want to detoxify their soul from the accumulated negativity of our daily lives.

A place of meditation with a pathological conservatism, not to be regarded from a negative point of view, its conservatism is equal to its struggle for survival. The fullness of the dominant hermetic atmosphere sets the ground for the needed departure and isolation from the surrounding world and its various temptations.

The low vegetation is the supplier of this environment natural energies, an energy that may be both new or regenerated, taking in to consideration the a simple rule that Nature has – nothing is wasted, everything transforms in to something new. The marine environment is the archetype of peace, water was and still is a symbol of peace, grace and fluidity.  The waters of  the Black Sea are the perfect scenery that acts as a mental cleanser, both its visual and its olfactory products are pleasing to the eye, the simplicity of the natural structures from this maritime universe relax our eyes which are more used nowadays with anthropic environments.

The Black Sea, described as a tumultuous beast in one of its most well known legends, shocks us with its quietness, with its vernacular homes that stretch and outline its now narrow beaches.

The harshness and brutality of its winds is widely known both in a symbolic, naturalistic and pragmatic sense, do to is influence, the mighty wind became a character in some of the traditional songs of the locals, there having the status of a messenger of Nature.

Governed by natural laws, the vegetation of the shore is a continuous cycle of regeneration, do to this aspect, the “dead nature” is replaced by a living one, thus negative energies are eliminated though the cycles of regeneration.

As when it comes to this land’s hermetic character, we are in face of a paradox, despite the absence of an actual geographic isolation, accumulated with the many roads that connect the rest of the country to this space, the shore of the Black Sea is still a practitioner of self segregation, segregation that is intended to preserve its intrinsic features, segregation that is not associated with hostility towards outsiders but rather filled with a welcoming vibe.

Full moon brightness, filled with hysteria, reflects on the blackish waves, going one step at a time to the dusty old shores of Pontus Euxinus.
