The five lies and the New Age cure

It is interesting to notice the shift that is happening within our society, the change of lifestyle and the renewal of ethical education are all related to the tenants that were preached again and again by the followers of the New Age Revival; revival that intended to bring men back to his original roots, to make men conscious of the many valuable cultural treasures that vanished over the centuries as a result of influence of many “unnatural ethical and behavioral” practices.
By this we are referring to those practices that made men become a liar, lying firstly in front of the self, and secondly, perpetuating those lies in the communities in which he lived. The lies that we are making references to here may be not easily to detect to the majority of people as a result of the fact that they got used to perceive them as realities.
The first lie, which become so widely spread over the last centuries is the idea that men, humanity, the human kind is not a unitary mass, this lie took the form of nationalism, racism, xenophobia, homophobia, and many others. Ideas like this corrupted the unity of humanity, they made people see borders and divisions which did not actually exists, it turned people against people, and made cooperation between the people of the Earth become almost impossible. Humanity, in its primitive stages was undivided, it was free of the suffering which was inflicted as a result of the popularization of ideologies as the ones from above; many would argue that even in its primitive stages humanity was divided in to tribes and tribal unions, and this is totally true, but those were divisions that were based on power struggle and the distribution of goods, divisions which care also find in similar forms in the animal world.
The second lie which will bring to discussion is the one that tells us that men needs to dominate Nature; this idea also has no true roots, all of us knowing very well that men is intended to be in full communion with nature, to be its trusty servant, and not to be its master...or its executioner.
The third lie consists of the idea that tells us that financial success can compensate the lack of sentimental and spiritual fulfillment.
The fourth lie tells us that education, the way in which it is presented to us today, actually has the true capability of assuring our success in later life; this being combined with a resentment that many people have nowadays directed towards spiritual education, and YES, I’m referring to spiritual, not to religious. One is not fully educated, or rightly educated, if he/she is at war with the self, if the self and what he/she project in to the social world are not symmetrical, then the chances are that he/she are not really that educated in to self-acceptance. And by self-acceptance I’m not suggesting that flaws and the dark corners of our heart to be left the way they are, but rather enhancing and being conscious of all of our qualities/strong points.
The fifth lie, or maybe not so much of a lie, but rather a misinterpretation, if you ask me,  which says that we people cannot truly forgive and cannot truly heal that spiritual scars. All of this being generated by our unwillingness to let our suffering go do to our desperate cry for sympathy and validation in front of others.
In order to come at peace with ourselves, we must take the New Age Cure…cure that has a high percentage of meditation, introspection, love, sincerity with the self, humanism, and devotion to Nature.
