Medical schools today. A short review.

The medical system plays a crucial role in maintaining of a healthy social environment in every state. In the highly industrialized nations medical services are treated as a fundamental human need . 
    In developing countries very few have access to professional medical care do to this medical services are not regarded to be a basic need , illness is seen as a "infestation" of the soul and it perceived from a more religious point of view then a scientific one. Regardless of this aspects every country has its own medical system that is represented by general hospital ,   dispensaries , clinics , private cabinets and mission medical centers . 
    A well functioning health system demands well trained specialist in all the existing medical fields. We can see that medical schools and other education organizations from this field  were subject to many reforms that diversified their activities and study programs . 
  The most important suppliers of  study programs (bachelors , masters , Ph.Ds. ) in the medical field are universities . In some cases  medicine faculties are assimilated in universities who give educations services in a wide variety of fields but we can find universities that give educational services only in medical fields.
   A few decades a go universities offered programs offered training only for students who wanted to become specialist in the main fields of medicine , thei didan't offer programs in medical related fields. But this has changed , more and more universities opened study programs in fields like  nursing , nutrition , recovery therapies and mortuary sciences. 
   The idea having undergraduate (bachelors degree programs) in this fields came as a response to the very high qualification that work in the medical field demands. Obtaining a degree in nursing is quite a common thing for people who want to work in high rated medical institutions . 
    The field of nursing has evolved gradually over the last decades , in the old days this profession was closely related to the missionary activities of various religious groups. 
   Nuns wold usually take the role of medical assistance , their tasks being thous of caring of the ill  and in some cases bringing a ray of light ad hope in their lifes. This profession evolved quite a lot during the last decades slowly becoming from a church connected job to a secular one. The gender structure for this profession started to change as also , more and more man entering this medical field . 
    Nowadays the nursing profession is split in a few branches based on what medical field it operates on , as a result we have : general medical assistance , nutrition medical assistance , medical assistance in the filed of sports , etc.
    A other new profession that medical school offer a degree in is nutrition . Specialists who get a degree in this field will have in their educational plan some subjects that general medicine students study as also but with opening to nutrition related fields.
    One of the most interesting study programs that was introduced to a number of medical school is that o mortuary sciences. The ones who apply for this program will have the chance to work in the funeral field both as autopsy technicians , embalmers or funeral directors . 
   This program has a very practical side a big part of the classes take place in laboratories where students build their practical knowledge . Compared to other degrees from medical related fields this degree it shorter in terms of years spent in university . Students who  graduate this program have to work a period as a autopsy assistant if they want to become a fully qualified embalmer .The main goals of this program are thous of preparing the future graduates to know the rules of preserving the human body , human body reconstruction and even disposal methods as burial or cremation.
   The wide variety of the programs in different medical fields are intended to create specialist that will optimize the quality of the medical act and create a more efficient medical system. This programs appeared as a solution to the various problems that some medical fields have , general medicine students learn a very big number of subjects, many of the time they tend to specialize in the most high rated medical fields and other fields that have as also a important role  in the system remain with very few experts .
   A other medical related field who is very high rated and has a lot of applicants per year is that of pharmacy and its connected domains . Pharmacists are very well viewed in the structures of society plus they get good salaries , this are the main things that make students to apply to programs in this field . A other pharmacy field that gets a lot of attention is that of pharmacy assistance. The ones who apply to programs for obtaining a degree in this field will become pharmacy assistance / technicians. The tasks that a pharmacy assistance are thous of selling products , keeping product evidence and assisting the pharmacist in his daily professional tasks. Only the pharmacist can prepare medicine or work in scientific fields that focus on research in the pharmaceutical field. The assistant can work in pharmacy laboratories but his duties are not as many as the ones of the pharmacist.
