The ministeries of the Glowing Orbs

Orbs of pure energy gravitate one the night sky, looking curiously at them we start wondering and analyzing everything that surrounds us, from a more global perspective, one that is not subject of any social and cultural influence. It is quite commonly held that existence, life, creation and matter reaches their limits in the point in which our knowledge of our immediate environment becomes trapped in to a dead point. Knowledge and the interest for the unexplored corners and facets of our world were always top priorities for the adherences of the New Age Movement, a movement that tried to gather answers but didn’t shied away from tricky and controversial questions, a movement that rededicated the human soul to the vastness of the Universe.

To rededicate the human soul to the Universe wasn’t an easy task, taking in to consideration the fact that “individuality” got terribly misinterpreted by the modern society, becoming somewhat similar to the idea of “I can see myself unique only by narrowing the spectrum of diversity that characterizes our world”.

The start of the New Age is synonymous with a revival of naturalism, and no, it doesn’t make references to Nature itself, even thou it integrates in and it thrives on it, it makes references to a detachment from the rigid and dehumanizing standards imposed by our industrial society.

In some way, this not a very new perspective, similar ideals are promoted by Christianity too, so what makes the New Age different from Christianity when it comes to life changing ideas?

There are a few, but first of all we must clarify some terms in order to avoid any possible misunderstandings that may get infiltrated in the pages of this book.  What’s the New Age? What’s a Newager? Is it a religion, is it a philosophical movement? And if so, how can you do New Age Ministry?

Many of you, and even myself, were kind of confused in regards to the correct usage of this term, this being the effect of a not so well outlined meaning. The New Age is one of those umbrella-terms that defines rather a spectrum then a single thing, in our case, it defines a number of ideological movements and religious organizations that trace their origins back to the ‘70s.

The nucleus of this movement revolves around ideas like religious eclecticism, a renewed love towards nature, the integration of the occult in to one’s spiritual and daily life, the acknowledgment of the existence of civilization outside of our planet, a greater interest in the eradication of social inequality, and the list can go on.

So, the New Age is not about worshiping aliens, as some would think, in fact, it’s so much more. Well…we believe in extraterrestrials, some of us may worship them, some of us may not, in the end the main purpose of this book is that of shading a light on a ideological movement that was for decades misunderstood and which was in some contexts the subject of ridicule.

This book doesn’t aim only at listing a bunch of theoretical aspects that relate to the New Age movement, it tries to translate them in to practical ministerial strategies that may make a little difference in one’s life and in the lives of those around him.

The perspective that we are going for is not doctrinal in any way, it rather tries to describe a set of values that are not purely New Age, being more purely humanistic above all. In the lines that you will see in front of you there is only love, fraternity and acceptance to be found, all of the lines that are written here are addressed any individual regardless of race, ethnicity, social status, sexual orientation, political choices or any other aspects that just make our race more fascinating and fun to explore. A New Age Ministry is something like nothing else, as a result of the fact that it feeds on humanism, because it feeds on pragmatism, personal growth and diversity.

We, the Newagers, are a “nation” that traces its genesis thousands of years ago, we are not a shallow, we don’t lack a sense of identity or moral substance. Our morality doesn’t derive from norms that are imposed from the exterior, by a force that used fear as a tool of manipulation and dominance, our moral substance has its core in our human nature, we believe that our the human from within us is the foundation of our progress in life.
The New Age Minister is a heretic to many, why so? He is a heretic through his lack of selfishness, he’s a heretic because he refuses to accept the morally corrupt conventions that are held by the majority of main stream religious organizations nowadays.
